Readme: QS Ganymede Help and MAP files

This program uses the four attractor formulae described in the book Chaos in
Wonderland by Clifford Pickover (St. Martin's Press, 1994). These formulae
generate striking images of chaotic attractors. The book's premise is that
alien beings called Latcarfians inhabit Jupiter's moon Ganymede. They
visualize the attractors in their dreams. The book describes Latcarfian
civilization in detail, and presents the account of a human visitor and his companion. Within this science fiction are descriptions of chaotic attractors
and related mathematical concepts, sample programming code, games and
references to mathematical history.

The original program was written in 1994 for DOS. This revision is a 32-bit
Windows program which should continue to work in current 64-bit Windows
versions. I've added a third dimensional factor which allows images to be
rotated around each of the three axes.

The program uses Fractint 256-color MAP files for its color palettes. These
are text files containing RGB triplets, which are easy to create or edit. A
small collection can be found in the file "MAP Palette Files.zip". There
are hundreds if not thousands of these files available on the Web. These can
be selected from the GUI menu.

Some sample parameter files are included. They have an extension of ".gan"
and can be loaded into the program from the GUI menu. If you associate them
with the program, you can double-click on any of them to launch the program
with that file loaded.
